Chocolate Cake With Chocolate Frosting

Chocolate Cake 
With 
Chocolate Frosting



This is a very moist and soft chocolate cake
Covered with chocolate frosting on entire cake
Very rich chocolate flavor

 
     Ingredients     
For 7-inch round cake pan

Cake flour 1/2 cup ( 60g)
Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup ( 50g)
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Egg yolk   3
Vegetable oil 40ml
Plain yogurt 60ml
Milk 45ml
Sugar 1/4 cup (50g)

Egg white  3
Sugar  1/4 cup (30g)

Frosting
Semi sweet chocolate 100g
Heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup (100ml)
Unsalted butter 1 tablespoon




Grease cake pan with butter, 
or line with parchment paper 
in the bottom and the sides of the cake pan

Preheat oven to 160°C / 320°F .


 Sift the flour, cocoa powder and salt together, 
and set aside


In a large bowl,  
add yolks,milk, sugar and oil, mix well
And add yogurt, mix all together


 Add sifted flour,salt and cocoa powder,
mix well until smooth,and set aside


In another large bowl, 
beat the egg whites with a hand mixer
When egg whites is foamy, add sugar
and continue to beat the egg whites until soft peaks


Pour 1/3 of the meringue and fold it into cake batter,
and then repeat with the remaining meringue 

until the cake batter is evenly combined.


Pour the batter into cake pan , 
and tap the cake pan to release air bubbles

Bake at 160°C / 320°F for 35-40 minutes
and a skewer  inserted in the center comes out clean



Place cake on a wire rack to cool for 5-10 minutes, 
then remove cake from pan, 
and place on a wire rack to cool completely


Frosting

Chop chocolate into small pieces
Place cream in a small saucepan over medium heat , 

don't need to boil, just below boiling point
Pour hot cream over the chocolate,  

and let it sit for couple minutes.


Add butter and stir until smooth


Spread chocolate all over the sides and top of the cake.

Let the cake sit in fridge for an hour 

or overnight before serving.
